Metadate/a
the convergence of [dat]es and [dat]a
Overview
Metadate/a is an immersive digital art installation that records the convergence of data — a fully on-chain, Ethereum-based collection that reframes the dates and data points of a life as collectible, generative artifacts. Where most NFT projects treat the token as the artwork, Metadate/a treats the dataset itself as the medium: each piece is a record, and the collection as a whole is a portrait assembled from moments that matter. Its objective is simple and human — connect people to the things that matter.
Concept
The project plays on the meaning buried in its name — meta · date · a — the convergence of [dat]es and [dat]a. Significant dates become data; data becomes art; art becomes a permanent, shared record on-chain. It exists in two registers at once: a Web2 experiential installation and a Web3 on-chain, ownable layer. Each token is dynamic and individually traited, so the collection reads less like 3,000 variations of one image and more like a structured archive.
The work
Every piece is generated from a shared visual grammar of data-record traits — Metadata, Barcode, Label Style, Label Color for the archive language; Color Spectrum, Stroke, Text Color, Text Size for the expressive layer; and Original, Edited, Super Rare, Burned for provenance and rarity.
